To celebrate Computer Science Education Week, Rocky Mountatin Elemantary participated in the hour of code. Every student from preschool to fifth grade spent an hour building, designing, and coding. To Find out more about the Hour of Code, check out the Hour of Code website.
The 4th grade crew decided to start their hour of code early on the Friday before computer science education week. The teachers were impressed with how easily the students picked up coding. "I showed them the website and they took off!" said Mrs. Knapp. "The students were so engaged with programming that by the end of the hour, my students started teaching me about coding."
All teachers at Rocky Mountain were overjoyed with how fantastic and easy coding could be. Thanks to code.org, scratch Jr., and Cubelets (Modular Robotics) for providing an amazing Coding experience for our students.
