It has been our intention to return to some form of in-person learning as soon as it was determined by our health departments that it is both safer and feasible to do so. On September 21, during our virtual town hall with county health department officials, we reviewed the current coronavirus data for our community. To this end, our county health agency partners have made the recommendation that it is now appropriate for us to return to a hybrid learning model. Click here to watch the virtual town hall discussion about the data guiding our decisions and current levels in our community. Beginning Monday, October 5, we will be implementing a hybrid in-person learning schedule for all students who are not currently enrolled in the LaunchED program. LaunchED student’s schedules will not be impacted by this change.
This term, the Indian Peaks Parent Leadership Team has decided to focus their efforts of increasing family involvement in the area of Math, specifically in the area of math facts. Two Family Math Nights were hosted last week: Tuesday, Jan. 12th and Thursday, Jan. 14th from 6-7:15 pm. About 50 families participated in the event! The school supplyied materials for teachers and parents to lead games families could use to help their master their facts. Parents were encouraged to learn the math games without their children to fully engage in its content. Students participated in other math activities separate from their parents. All games were developed to be taken home to work on with students. This was the first of a few parent nights Indian Peaks will be having this year focusing on Math.
Stay posted for the next event! All are welcome!
