Fall River's Family STEM Night was well attended by students, families, friends and special guests! BB-8 and R2D2 attended and entertained one and all. The fully functioning, life-size models were one of several interactive displays families and community members shared with the Fall River Community. Booths included Tinker Mill, Longmont Arts Council and Google, to name a few! Fall River students also volunteered to demonstrated their STEM work.
This term, the Indian Peaks Parent Leadership Team has decided to focus their efforts of increasing family involvement in the area of Math, specifically in the area of math facts. Two Family Math Nights were hosted last week: Tuesday, Jan. 12th and Thursday, Jan. 14th from 6-7:15 pm.
The Indian Peaks STEM team collaborated to create this year’s design challenge. After considering different ideas about how we could improve various spaces at our school, we agreed that the Lost and Found was in need of improvement. That led us to create a design challenge around the question, “How might we improve our Lost and Found so that we can find objects quickly and easily?”
