STEM and Physical Education

Students in Mr. Hoople's Physical Education class are participants in a human model of the circulatory system.  Mr. Hoople combined content and practices from science, technology and mathematics with his physical education lessons on the heart.  Students calculated heart rates and moved through the circulatory system by reading task cards and doing what the cards asked.  They were able to use digital heart rate monitors to see how their heart rate increased by going through the circulatory system model.
