Gary Soto: Short Story Reenactments & Story Retells

Mrs. Thaler's Advanced Language Arts classes read three short stories by the author, Gary Soto. Students were to pair up or group up, choose one story, choose one scene, and create a product that either reenacts the story plot or adds on by creating post story events.

The groups had the choice of:

  • Scene reenactment (iMovie, video, live)

  • Comic Scene (paper or iPad App)

  • Podcast (using the SpreakerDJ app)

  • Talk Show

  • Lego Movie

The students then presented final products to their peers and fellow visiting Language Arts classes. Check out what our TRMS kids came up with.
