Future Crime Scene Investigators at Timberline Solve a Case

"Crime Scene Investigation" is a new STEM elective course being offered to 6th through 8th graders at Timberline PK-8 this year. School has been in session for just 4 weeks, and already the buzz about the class has students clammering to get in next quarter. So far, students have solved crimes using fingerprinting techniques, footprints, and, most recently, by conducting an ink test to determine whose pen wrote a ransom note. Students are so engaged that some have decided to pursue forensics and crime scene investigation as a future career. One student even solved a real crime when a relative's iPod was stolen.
