Family STEM Night

Stem School

The first Family STEM Night at Northridge took place in December. Parents came for a brief overview of what it meant for their child to be at a STEM school.  We ate dinner and then moved into the gym for a fun filled evening of design thinking. Families participated in all kinds of design challenges, from designing a holiday decoration that represents your family, to designing a building using provided materials. There was empathy, brainstorming, and lots and lots of prototyping occurring all night long. The night was so successful, families continued designing up until we ran out of supplies.
